Takaho of UG was always seeking for the chance to
invite VICKERS to his own event "GRIND FREAKS" since he got
strongly impressed by the VICKERS show he saw few years ago. And after some
twist and turn UG and VICKERS had a chance to play together in july 2007.At
the rehearsal of the show Takaho saw the VICKERS playing "Aces
High" of IRON MAIDEN which he got strongly impressed again. Later the
offer was done between two bands to release the split cover EP, IRON MAIDEN's
"Prowler" by VICKERS and VENOM's "Countess Bathory" by
UG! All artworks by Takaho, one of the special release amongst dozens of UG

These two warped bands hail from Germany. Both are
sick and vile and not for the faint of heart. VASELINE are an intensely
grinding band with low gargled vocals that are buried in the hailstorm of
noisy guitar work. One of the most notable aspects of their sound is the
dominant role the bass guitar plays. It is way up in the mix and really
carries the sound as much as, if not more than, the buzzsaw guitar. This is
totally relentless. I hate to fall back on comparisons but think GORE BEYOND
NECROPSY meets 7 MINUTES OF NAUSEA. Turn this record over and you'll find
CADAVER FEAST, a viscous and vile band whose homicidal music is almost as
deadly as the mass murderers they fixate on. Mixing blazing grindcore with
the occasional noise rock breakdown, C.F. is going to strongly appeal to
those who think a sonic boom sounds "wimpy". One thing worth
mentioning is how clear the production is for C.F. It's not very often you
get a sound this subterranean that has this clarity. This is another limited
release so ask grandma for your birthday money right now. |

side of the record like a rabid pitbull would rip through a litter of
kittens. Totally uncompromising and grinding fastcore executed flawlessly but
with pure rage and violence. On the flip side S.O.C. are noisier and looser
than WADGE but no less fierce. Whereas WADGE uses precision, S.O.C. uses
chaos. Thanks in large part to the deranged vo-kills, S.O.C.'s music sounds
like at any moment it might spin out of control, yet it never does. It is an
eternally building crescendo with no downside and no relief. Totally insane.
