NARSAAK
Prasina
"After years of silence, NARSAAK are back with 6 songs for this 7"" on Thought Crime. NARSAAK played (and still playing) melody driven scandinavien hardcore long before long before TRAGEDY turned a million americanised trendhoppers onto that stuff. All their records are great musically and the lyrics will frequently make your blood freeze. Their singer is from Bosnia originally, that's why many of their songs are in serbo-kroatian, which is one of the most brutal sounding language for a hardcore band.

NOOTHGRUSH / SUPPRESSION
Split
After 14 years of delay, the split single between NOOTHGRUSH and SUPPRESSION is out today.
NOOTHGRUSH have managed to compress an elaborate piece of doom on their side; trademark crushing crusty riffing complemented by caveman drums, heavy bass and narration fueled by disgust make for one sick, sick song.
SUPPRESSION open the flip side with a mental power electronics section leading to a grinding hardcore tune, heavy on the freak sauce.
Sludge, noise and brutal hardcore- this split is a time travel trip to the mid-90's mutant underground as presented by two of it's most prominent units.

NOOTHGRUSH
Entropy
With style reserved only for the true scholars of doom, NOOTHGRUSH offer their latest rendering- a micro/macro requiem EP. This release presents NOOTHGRUSH at their most refined; the songs are immensely paced in relation to the lyrical content, opting for acceptance of decay, and ultimately death. The restraint and respect NOOTGRUSH treat their instruments with is magnanimously rewarded in the final outcome, adding to the seriousness and depth of their conclusion. Recorded and mixed at EARHAMMER STUDIOS and mastered at AUDIOSIEGE for maximum sonic impact.

P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S.
Hit And Run
Released on their own label, Doomtown Sounds, the five guys who call themselves P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. have been associated with such Portland punk-authorities as POISON IDEA, PIERCED ARROWS, BURNING LEATHER, and RESIST. That history is reflected in the sound of the record: Hardcore punk with the intensity of a shaken-up wasp’s nest.

PARLAMENTARISK SODOMI / BLODSPRUT
Split
10 new tracks from Norway's Parlamentarisk Sodomi. a 5 minutes long nonstop blast which sets a new high standard in modern gindcore. you will scratch your eyeballs out when you hear this - some of the most unrelenting grindcore since INSECT WARFARE and the most radical crusty punked up grind heard in the last decade. Blodsprut is grindcore in its purest form. Norway's noise artists Anders Hana (MoHa! / Ultralyd / Noxagt) and Patrick Petterson recorded a sonic statement of drastic metalic radicalism, paying tribute to the days of old school grind, noisecore and mixing it up with some hysterical noise rock interludes. With just two percussion kits, vocals, distortion and noise they conjure complex rhythmic blasts, evil feedback tortures and interfuse them with demonic howls from the deepest pits of hell.

PARLAMENTARISK SODOMY / LASERGUYS
Split
This split EP features three old songs from Parlamentarisk Sodomi, two recorded in 2007, one in 2006. The first one features a solo added in 2010, while the last one is a remixed version. Since these songs are from the Har Du Sagt “A” Får Du Si “Nal” era, they are in the same vein of the oens featured on that album, so expect your dose of old school grindcore, played with a raw and unforgiving approach and a GREAT taste in riffing. Laserguys are from Norway as well, blistering old school grindcore, unreleased stuff, looks like Norway it's making its way in the grindcore scene in the best way

The records come with a full-color-cover with nice artwork.

PROLETAR / DIORRHEA
Split
Another classic international grind split. Keeping up with the ever growing Indonesian grind scene PROLETAR doesn't dissapoint. They offer 5 tracks of politically charged grind with dual vocals, epic riffage and non-stop double bass. DIORRHEA are from Italy and play more of a thrash influenced grind, which is a good thing. With 6 songs they mix it up well, expect blast beats, breakdowns and well placed dual vocals.

PROTES BENGT
In Bengt We Trust
Reissue of the classic 32 songs ep released in 1986 by one of the earliest grindcore bands ever. Protes Bengt dudes were previously involved in Mob 47, Discard, Agoni etc. Here you have the same stuff, but faster, faster, faster!!!! The 7” comes in a nice screen printed cardboard.

PROTESTI
8 Track EP
Protesti was around during the heyday of Finnish Thrash in the early 80's. I have long been a fan of the aggressive hardcore that came out of Finland in the 80's. When Fight Records agreed to let me do US pressings of their re-issue 7"s this was the first in line. Protesti never had a vinyl release in the 80's of their own, although they did appear on the legendary "Hardcore 83" comp. on Propaganda records. As far as I can understand this was a side project of members of Kaaos and the Bastards. With these influences you can guess at the sound and style, raging fast and chaotic thrash music. The lyrics are translated from Finnish and honestly are just as pertinent today as they were in 1983.

PRUGELKNABE / VOCATIO INTERNA
Split
PRÜGELKNABE is a non-compromise ultra fast power-violence with SheevaYoga / Kulma / Disney / Social Deformity {legendary czech band} members in vein of mighty US p/v bands such as Dead Radical or XBrainiaX, all tunes shorter than one minute. You will piss your blood. VOCATIO INTERNA is nowadays one of the best Slovakian power-violence mayhem, sounds like Crossed Out / M.I.T.B with Sheevayoga / Prugelknabe bassist.

REPROBATE
Le Carceri
1993 single, the heavy drumming with ultra heavy riffs, Reprobate in my opinion can win quite good prize in the competition for the heaviest death outfit. Music is very clear though as if recorded in the best studio, not just pouring senseless heaviness to the poor listener's ears. And that acoustic pause in "Le Carceri" rules!!! Generally, head and shoulders above all that death underground crap. Stuff to enjoy, if you are tired of these childish death bands.

RE/SISTERS
Riots Not Diets
Those anarcha-feminists are known for being a real pain in the ass for every macho in the Punkscene for years now, got finally their shit together by releasing this 20 minutes 7" with rough, archaic, cutting edge punk with a trumpet & manic sometimes disharmonic screaming, but it grows on you after a few listenings. The record comes in a Crass-like sleeve with a 32 pages booklet filled with lyrics collages & writings about beauty ideals, eating disorders/anorexical disease.

RF7
Acts of defiance
Originally issued in 1980!! RF7 is a long-lived, southern California punk rock band that began in 1979 by Felix Alanis and small time child star of the Sheriff John show Nick Lamagna. Felix also began the record label Smoke Seven Records and signed his band and many others who were ignored by the big labels then, such as Redd Kross, Bad Religion, JFA, Crank Shaft, Circle One, Sin 34, Youth Gone Mad, etc. On Acts Of Defiance we are treated to a band still exhibiting many of their former rock influences and while the band would never completely lose those influences it is not the fast raging hardcore with wild out of control guitar leads displayed on the Fall In LP. Includes "Chainsaw Love Affair" first RF7 track played on Rodney on the Rock in 1980.

RHYTHM OF CRUELTY
In Time…
The latest EP from Edmonton band, Rhythm of Cruelty, exudes a strong blend of Lo-Fi sound and gothic appeal. It’s glum from start to finish yet still exciting. Not all bands can get the whole “dark atmosphere” thing down without coming off pretentious or derivative. A lot of them end up sounding like bloated, third-rate Nine Inch Nails wannabes. After the brooding of the opening track “In Time” the album delivers 2 smooth and sort of heavy tunes in “The Past” and “The Walls pt.1?. They feel like the safer and more standard cuts. The last track “Pictures” is a real fun and spooky cut. I’d say it’s the strongest track on the album. The constant shredding chimes give ambiance to the eerie melody of lead singer Brandi’s vocals. There is a real strong image of British punk bands that immediately come mind. Like Joy Division, the feel is a dark one twined with a string of blissful melody throughout. Yet, it posses a modern feel, a definite product of what is possible electronically in music in this age.

RIGOR SARDONICUS / PERSISTENCE IN MOURNING
Split
First release from Total War and terror and Feudal Throne records. The Rigor Sardonicous track is titled "I" and if you know the band, you know what to expect. raw, uncompromising, punishing extreme doom. The P.I.M. track is called "neo-pessimism" and was written and recorded around the time of "the undead shall rise". the music from this track was originally going to appear on that LP but it didn't really fit into the context of teh album, so i scrapped the vocals, wrote new lyrics and re-worked the guitars. Nice archival piece if you like my work from that time period. artwork handled by my dying bride's aaron stainthorpe.

RIISTETYT
Kahleet
Latest material from Finland's long running hardcore powerhouse. Riistetyt blaze through five tracks of pulverizing hardcore intensity. Four strong tracks of 80's Finnish thrash crossed with modern Scandinavian hc/crust and one track which is more of a droning, dark, tense number in the true Finnish style.
