SAINT BUSHMILL'S CHOIR
s/t
S.B.C are a 7-piece, Irish influenced punk band comparable to Flogging Molly or Firewater, but with some distinct differences... "The Choir" emerged from the Seattle peace-punk underground and claims former members of The Gits, Subvert, Christdriver, The Pinkos, and more. This self-titled LP is a 12-song follow-up to their 2001 CDEP "Give 'em Enough Booze" on Broken Rekkids. The album was produced by Jack Endino of Nirvana fame and captures the insane live energy of a Choir show. Unrelenting, punked-out Irish jigs and expert musicianship recalls The Pogues, Stiff Little Fingers, and dare we say it, The Clash.

SEVERED HEAD OF STATE
Power hazard
Severed Head of State return with nine punishing new tracks. Hard driving riffs and angry vocals give this release a real fist pumping intensity. A lot of the songs are more mid tempo in the tradition of mid period Poison Idea and other hardcore punk bands that took some cues from Motorhead. Guitarist Todd Burdette (Tragedy, His Hero Is Gone, Warcry) delivers some really searing guitar riffs on this LP and the guitar tone is perfect for the style, biting and corrosive like battery acid. Jack Control (World Burns to Death) has always impressed me with his raw and angry vocals and well thought out lyrics. I've always though bassist Kelly Halliburton (Masskontroll, Defiance, Clusterbombunit, Resist) had some of the best style in hardcore dropping in some of his crucial Discharoge style "walking" bass fills. Drummer Chris Pfeffer (Signal Lost, Storm the Tower, Scorched Earth Policy) holds it all together with some sick and precise beats.

One of the most fucked-up bands from Finland ever! This LP contains the best 24 songs from their releases between 1989-1994, including 3 songs from the mega-rare "Syö paskaa" MINI-LP, that was forbidden by the Mc Donalds company and destroyed afterwards. SHITTER LIMITED use very direct lyrics to attack corrupt politicians and capitalist companies! The music is angry HC-Punk with an extraordinary vocalist!

Straight out of K-Town comes this unruly bunch of political punk-rock agitators. Over the course of 9 tracks this Danish lot line up one raw and obnoxious riff after another, alongside rampaging bass play and dedicated drumming - while keeping it all catchy as hell. The hoarse and sincere vocals that top it off and the fact that a lot of the lyrics deal with the events surrounding Ungdomshuset. The packaging is awesome as well - a nice embossed cover to a 16 paged LP cover-booklet with nicely put together layout with loads of cool drawings

This is the latest of recordings of Skitkids, a brilliant record that makes you wanna monkey dance till death. Raw and brutal hardcore rawpunk with loads of great rock n roll guitar leads a hell of a drumming a thundering bass and a insanely and angry vocalist on top of all. Lyric wise you get a totally pissed writing in a sociopolitical way, against multicoporations, fucked rock stars behaviours within the punk scene and a big pis on the Swedish state of ruling the ones under their whip. Most intense and powerful recording up to date. Recorded september 11:th 2007 at Evil Gril studio Gothenburg by Crille, cover artwork by CrashMange, even looks fucking awesome. More than recomended.

SKITSYSTEM
Allt e skit
Finally available on vinyl this release compiles all the out of print early Skitsystem material. This is the vinyl version of the CD released on Distortion. The essential early recordings from 1995-1998 are here, the Profithysteri 7", split 7" with Wolfpack and the Ondskans Askinte 10". These are the most raw and brutal Skitsystem recordings in the classic 80's Swedish hardcore tradition of Anti Cimex, Crude SS, Asocial and Avskum with just a hint of black/death metal influence. The poster insert of this release has a well written history of the band and discography.

SKITSYSTEM
Stigmata
Third LP. Dark and menacing Swedish crust core from the masters. First recordings to feature Micke (of Martyrdöd) on second guitar. This LP takes one step deeper into the dark realm that Skitystem has created. Many of the songs are slower than you would expect but with an intense power that grips you from the first listen. For people who accuse bands with multiple full lengths of "recording the same record over and over" this release is a testament to band that can continue to evolve and create while sticking to a pure style. You will hear much of the same raw eneregy of the early releases in this recording. At the same time, you will hear the band explore a darker and more punishing aural terrain. Swedish Käng with a touch of metal influence, heavy and brutal. Frederick's lyrics are a chillingly bleak examination of some of the horrors of modern life. Songs deal with child abuse, sexual abuse, suicide and self destruction, eating disorders and alienation. All topics he has gained a deeper understanding of in his job as a social worker.

SKITSYSTEM
Gra varld svarta tankar
Recorded in 1999 and originally released in Sweden on Distortion, this is the first Skitsystem LP. (although they had released a 10" previously) Skitsystem took the world of hardcore and metal by storm in the late 90's by honing the swedish d-beat crust-core sound. They unleashed a punishingly brutal mix of 80's Swedish hardcore like Anti Cimex, Crudity, Crude SS and Avskum with the dark sounds of Swedish Death Metal like Entombed and At the Gates. The music and lyrics combine to form a bleak, rage fuled view of the "gray world, black thoughts." Skitsystem has the drive and power of D-beat raw punk charging forward with just enough of the melody of Swedish metal in their two guitar assault to keep things from running into a wall of noise. This release was licensed from Distortion records and the vinyl on Distortion is long out of print.

This second full-length follows up on the head crushing sounds of their first LP Gra Varld Svarta Tankar. This is a scathing steamroller of pure Scandinavian hardcore power. This new album from the UK's Subhumans is the first full-length of new songs since they reformed 9 years ago, and a whole 2 decades since their last one [recorded just before they split up, in 86] so it's been a long time coming! These 13 songs combine the band's trademarks of dynamic punk tunes and socio-political lyrics as effectively as their previous albums, venturing from straight-up rousing punk to slices of Wire-like tension, Ruts-like rolling basslines, and a whole 9 minutes of 'Never Ending War Song'. Mixing anger with analysis with wit, songs tackle war, social breakdown, mind-numbing McJobs, sizeism and...mosquitoes!?

Surprisingly MNE came up with an amount of nearly 500 uncovered Vinyl copies from the first press run. So we took these copies and botch together a new sleeve that should be here within the next 3 weeks. SUBSTANDARD was a UK Anarcho Punk band from Nottingham and well known for their manic Live performance and outrageous speed in their style of song-writing... A shredding thrash metallic "punk" soundtrack to support a strong punk political message spitted out by pissed off dual vocals... they released two brilliant Demo Tapes, 3 Split 7" EP´s with NERVES, PINK FLAMINGOS and DETESTATION as well as a own 7" EP. - Included here is everything they did plus compilation tracks and comes with a recycled version of the original Inner-sleeve as Lyric Sheet

The System formed in the summer of 1980 having messed around in various other bands since 1978. In 1981 they met a band called Flux Of Pink Indians, who helped them make their first single - the Warfare ep. This was very successful and contained their anthem - the dogs of war. By mid 1981 they were touring with Flux Of Pink Indians and the legendary CRASS. They followed up with their second single - "The system is murder". By this time they were being recognized all over the UK, Europe and the USA. Soon the album would follow and here it is!

THE TOYOTAS
...make headlines
Germany's THE TOYOTAS surely will make every garage punk gazette's front page with this wild and shredding platter. Head honcho of the 3-pack is DEAN DIRG's guitar swinger Claus-Daniel, who also provides all 12 songs with his ratty voice.
The "White Side" blasts out the fast and short tracks "Cars are not cool", "Get snotty with you" and "No one likes me messin' around", all well equipped with Daniel's typical chop chop guitar and sounding like a mix between punkier DEAN DIRG and THE INFECTIONS. "Got no car" and "Talk on the telephone", both underlayed with a spooky organ, could be rough demo takes of lost MANIKINS "Epileptic" songs, while supertune "Teenage nightmare" adds a good shovel of groovy 77-Punk to the whole thing.
The 6 songs on the "Black Side" were recorded in other session and are way more dirty and pushing. Again, "TV injection", "Lost in the city", "Pigswill U.K.", "Big mouth of the neighborhood" and "Obsolete machine" overhaul each other in a mud-splashing DEAN DIRG vs. MANIKINS staccato race. Hell, they all seem to have mixed up their fuel with some extra-catchy secret additive. And to demonstrate their love for good ol' English. Punk, the band finally throws in the slightly slower "Dead Joe Blogg", where the squeaking nasal voice reaches the top.
A short and hectic snot attack full of rough catchiness and a good sense of cool songs.

VITAMIN X
Bad trip
Titanic Third LP from Amsterdam Holland's Vitamin X. This is their strongest material since the People That Bleed 7". Rampaging fast hardcore in the style of Lifes Halt, DS 13, Tear It up and No Justice. The blazing speed and power are broken here and there by charged up heavy riffs that show guitarist Marc's longstanding inspiration from 70's hard rock. While there are a lot of bands mixing 70's rock and hardcore right now Vitamin X does so in a fashion that doesnt tone down or slow down their high energy hardcore attack. The burly rock riffs merely add to the tension and power of the thrash onslaught to come
