VV.AA. – Matita Emostatica – LP (Spittle Records)

This is the reissue, produced in association with Spittle Records, of a now unobtainable compilation of then-obscure artists active in the Milanese underground scene during the 1980s. The beautiful cover art is the work of designer and photographer Roberto Masotti. The compilation was produced in 1981 by Al Aprile and released by Materiali Sonori. Among the 10 featured artists, we find future journalists, enlightened record executives, renowned photographers, and cultural agitators… you need only glance at the album’s tracklist to see names like Monofonic Orchestra, Angelo Vaggi, Baker Street Band, Al Aprile, Roberto Masotti, and many others.
