SEWN SHUT – Rediscovering The Dead – CD (Selfmadegod Records)

29 tracks of lightening fast death/grind, some of which actually contain a semblance of a tune amongst the blast beats and belching filth-pig vocals. As a best of/compilation, production values differ immensely but when the music is this heinous it doesn’t make too much difference to the overall listening pleasure. Difficult to pull highlights from this bag of putrescence, but “Cretinism” is almost into Doom territory before they remember they’re a grind band and go back to what they do best. This would destroy the minds of most individuals within the first 5 tracks, therefore it is immense.
