Their primary contribution here is the 14+ minute modern power-violence epic “Deuteronomy”, a track that crosses all spectrums of hardcore/true crucial punk madness. 	LAUDANUM	The coronation	2xLP	On The Coronation, the two elements that make up the current Laudanum sound, punishing, bruised sludge doom and bleak industrial noise experiments, are fused ever more tightly together into a cohesive soundtrack for the slow collapse of modern life and culture. The intense low frequency pummel of Wilkinson’s bass rumble is itself an apparent cause for some of this collapse, such is its massive earth-shaking power. Becky’s crushing drum beats rival Dale Crover in sheer intensity and brute force. Judd’s repetitive stone slab riffs carrying the weight of the world, and Misterek’s vocals, colliding with Becky’s, coating the whole thing with the mournful, evil magick of life’s coming oppression. Laudanum sound comes from a much more doomed spectrum, as though the Melvins and Swans had been left to rot in some dank Oakland industrial zone. 	SARCASM	Crematory	LP	Were it not for the fact that, at the time Sarcasm released its debut cassette album, Crematory, Slovenia was part of the former Yugoslavia then under the control of a Communist dictatorship, this album may have been revered far more than it has been. Yet even though it took 18 years to receive proper vinyl treatment, this legendary album will finally get the attention it deserves. Sarcasm’s sound varies throughout the album from aggressive speed metal tracks resembling Kill ‘em All-era Metallica to songs that lean more heavily toward the band’s heavy metal roots. Every track on Crematory contains riffs and choruses that get stuck in your head and constantly draw you back to replay it over and over. The production is clear and warmly analog and all of the instruments are played with precision. No effort was made to obscure any incompetence by virtue of overly distorting the guitars or mixing down the drums and the vocals are written in such a way that accentuates the catchiness of the guitar riffs and delivered with a heavy metal sensibility at times, still retain an evil quality. This is, quite simply, one of the best thrash albums made from behind and the Iron Curtain and, furthermore, it has stood the test of time and far exceeds much of the thrash output from that time period. 	MORGION	Among Majestic Ruin	LP	To those who don't know, Morgion play strongly death metal-influenced doom. Guttural vocals and uptempo sections occasionally come into play during the epic compositions, but for the most part, this is a fine doom metal offering, combining extremely heavy riffing at times with slow, majestic, keyboard-laden atmospheric flourishes. Hauntingly beautiful while still being massively heavy. Morgion weave out five anguished offerings on this album, every one of them an amazement in itself, each one sorrowfully adept at proving that Morgion are an awesome band and deserve more recognition than they currently garner. This vinyl release is the FIRST EVER by this great band and contains a bonus track from a 1995 demo that is quality. Even though every song is fantastic, the third song is just so completely awe-inspiring that it's worth the cost alone...but when you're talking about "Among Majestic Ruin", there's no need to mince words: you owe it to youself to get it immediately.
