I still can't make any comments...Avskum tour has been kinda unbelievable!
Each night has been great, not to talk about the Saturday's one at
AlConfino squat, which the band told me it has been their greatest
show ever!!!
They left us with tears in the eyes and with the promise they will
come back, maybe for a big festival with some other great bands...
Italy showed once again to be able to put great happenings up, being
polite, funny, relaxing and energetic at the same time.
And hearing from people as Avskum, playing since 1982, that this one
was their best tour of any time, it really overfills my heart!!!
Well, we know perfectly that it hasn't always been like this and that
italy sucked in several circumstances, but this time we proved that
if we put our energies together we can build great things up!
So it's not just me, Mila and Borys (with our distros/labels) to deserve
the satisfaction of this great success: even if we organized the more
"technical" aspects of the event, contacting the band, planning
the tour dates etc, i think that everybody who participate at the
tour played an important part in it's wonderful result!
And expecially, Massimetto for having put a fucking great show up
in Rome and for having hosted all of us at his flat; people from Pirateria
for the place grant; Totino for the excellent food; Nicolas and Olmo
for having put the show in Viareggio up and people from S.A.R.S. for
the place grant and food; Borys for having hosted and fed us in his
flat; Marione, Gra, Sara, Steve, Turk etc. for having offered an unforgettable
night and a divine dinner at AlConfino squat; Enrico for having turned
Atlantide squat in a stenchy d-beat lovers cave and for the nice food!
Dirty Power Game, Berserk, Campus Sterminii, Kontatto, Death From
Above, Giuda for having played almost for free!
Finally a huge thanx goes out to you who helped us in flyering in
your cities and in your places and who came to the shows, some of
you (crazy, but I would have done the same...,well, fuck,in fact that's
exactly what I did...) even following all the tour without caring
about distances (deep south, very north Italy, and even someone from
London...)
Once again a big thanx to all of you and let's hope this one will
be just the first of a long series of lucky events...

Giuda has finally played their first concert, fist-in-the-face straight
forward hardcore, old school italian rage crossed with japcore and
crust. Giuda is Agipunk/Tetanus official band :))) featuring the whole
headquarter: Mila on vocals (back on the stage after DDI split-up
7 years ago) and Borys on guitar (Disprezzo, Disarm, Groebelar, Unsung...)
+ Gabriele on drums and Margherita on bass (both experienced with
Disprezzo) and Matteo on guitar as well (ex-Groebelar, Crepa, Cattiva
Inclinazione). Maybe the oldest young band in Italy :) stay tuned,
in April we're gonna record our debut!

It's time to take back control of this section with updates and more,
a real news section and not an "oldies" one.
Rovina
Hardcore Festival 2005 is over and it's been a successful edition,
we are happy. The first day in Monza (29th April) at the Boccaccio
squat was not so crowded as expected (more than 200 people anyway),
and the sound with some bands was a total mess, but bands kicked ass!!
The first band, Monkey Island was an out-of-festival-act organized
by the squat, punk/garage, not the Rovina Hardcore cup of tea. Thrash
Brigade from Milano are a new band playing a kind of powerviolence/thrash
which would have fit perfectly on Slap a Ham Records ten years ago,
now powerviolence is not the hype but they rule anyway! Beyond Description
from Japan have been a real kick in the face, fast and tight hardcore/thrashing,
the audience was amazed, I couldn't believe they were tired because
of the flight and jetleg. Disprezzo had a really bad sound but they
did their job, crust with a metal heart and melodies in the head.
Ohuzaru were awesome, decent sound, old school fast beats attack,
no youth crew here, and a Death Side cover!! Força Macabra
from Finland were forced to play without their drummer Otto, seriously
ill at home. He was substituted by Marzia of Campus Sterminii, and
it was amazing!! just one rehearsal and it sounded as they have been
always playing together! A lot of old songs (the ones Marzia knew
best), a grrrrrreat band, I was crying from happiness!!! Atrox from
Milano ended the night, 20 years playing hardcore and still around,
great people and great music, all the local people were singing their
anthems.
The day after in Modena has been the best! More than 300 people, the
sound was good and all the bands ruled! Thrash Brigade again, and
the mighty Downright from Genova are getting angrier and angrier,
super. Beyond Description did a fantastic show, people got totally
crazy, I think that they could tell back in Japan that is still possible
to taste the 80's crowd craziness!!! Dissciorda suffered a little
bit a lack of audience 'cause people were exhausted after the jap-concert,
but they played really great songs, scandicrustcore not to be missed
anymore. Disprezzo's gig was a total surprise for me, the venue was
full, people got crazy again, lot of people singing along, incredible!
Força Macabra were drunk, but the show was complete fun, incredibly
friendly atmosphere, maybe the concert I enjoyed most in the last
year around.
The other positive point is that we had no particular problems with
fights and damn chaos-punx. sometimes Italy offers a very bad spectacle
to foreign bands... A great edition, keep in touch for Rovina Hardcore
2006!!!
Big big big thanx to Pulce+Andrea & Thrash Brigade, Disprezzo
boys and girl, Marco & Ohuzaru, Conco & Atrox (you were very
kind!), Downright crew, Ennio & Dissciorda, Beyond Description
for being amazing, Força Macabra for being soooo cool people
and metalheads moreover, Marzia/Campus Sterminii for playing with
Força (we bow to you!), Mirja and Gabo (superdrivers!), all
the guys at Boccaccio and Scintilla for the hard work, Fulvio/Angry,
Villa Squat/Milano, and all the people who helped us out in any way,
if you're not on this list it's just our fault, not yours!
